Your First Steps at FSA ULaval

Welcome week

Each semester, the International Activity Centre (IAC) organizes a week of activities for the incoming international students, the week before classes start.

During the fall, between 150 and 200 students from all over the world participate, making it a truly amazing experience, facilitating your integration and putting you on the right track for a successful and memorable stay in Quebec City. During winter, we receive up to 80 students.

We strongly advise you to join us for this fun-filled week!

Buddy program

About 100 local students from FSA ULaval are expecting our international students!

International students will be automatically matched to a team of «buddies». Each team is composed of 10 international students and 5 local students. Activities and competitions will be organized with the teams throughout the semester.

The local students will contact their buddies weeks before the exchange students arrival. They will be there to answer the student’s questions before they arrive and will organize a pick-up service from the Québec City airport, train or bus station.

To facilitate their exchange in Québec, a Facebook Group is also made available to our exchange students.
 

International Student Committee

Amongst the buddies, a group of dedicated students form a committee with the objective of organizing several activities for international students throughout the semester.

There is also a group of volunteers that offer their time in the office to answer any of your questions during the semester (academic, social, etc.).

  • Sugar Shack (where maple syrup is made)
