Departmental contribution – $6,500
Over and above the allocation of two sessional contracts, the departments have a policy intended to provide financial support to as many doctoral students as they have. A $6,500 allocation in exchange for services is possible through an agreement with the department.
The amount can be given in Summer 2 of the program of study, in other words at the end of the designated period for withdrawal without academic penalty and without a refund, on condition that a student has passed the doctoral exam and not received any other income from the FSA since admission to the program; that is, academic scholarships, grants, research assistantship income, academic merit scholarships, etc. Any money received in this way will be deducted from the $6,500.
